Samsung Develops OneDRAM Prototype

Samsung recently announced that it has successfully developed the prototype of a 512-megabyte OneDRAM memory chip, which integrates DRAM (Dynamic Random Access Memory) and SRAM (Static Random Access Memory) for better power consumption and higher transmission speed. The company stated that OneDRAM, its second fusion memory chip, will be initially embedded into mobile phones in the second half of 2007, and further implemented in other mobile handheld and consumer electronic devices.
